INTRODUCTION This is part two of a two-part program. Part 1 program focuses on the fundamentals of derivative products. Explore the characteristics, features, applications and valuation of forward rate agreements, financial futures, interest rate swaps, and traded options, as well as caps, floors and collars. Particular attention is paid to option and derivatives trading for audit purpose. The objective of Part 1 is in preparation for the proper assimilation of IAS 39 (SAS 33). Thus Part 1 of this program is confined to product training. This program however is for all who have graduated from Part 1 and presumably have acquired the needful product knowledge. There will not be excessive explanation on the terms used and the underlying assumption is that the participants have acquired a working knowledge of the glossary of terms in Financial Instruments. The focus of this program is on SAS 33(IAS 39).
